Top 5 Coffee Spots in Las Vegas

By May 19, 2021June 12th, 2021No Comments

You can add it to the list of reasons why I love calling Las Vegas home — it’s amazing to live in such a great coffee town.

We may be newer to the boutique coffee shop life, but like everything else in Vegas, our coffee shops go above and beyond expectations to truly make coffee an experience to remember. You won’t find a Starbucks on this list (sorry-not sorry) so get ready to make your coffee tour with my top 5 picks:

#5: Bad Owl

If you are a fan of Harry Potter then this magical destination belongs higher on this list. Dripping in Harry Potter décor, this muggle friendly coffee roaster is a fun and delicious getaway. From Butterbrew to Lavender Lattes or my personal favorite, the Cold Brew Flights — you really can’t find a bad option on the menu. I was introduced to this themed shop by a true Harry Potter fan, but I come back time and time again for the bomb coffee and the extremely nice staff.

#4: Makers and Finders

This Latin inspired Café is nestled in Downtown Summerlin and features a wide selection of craft coffee, innovative cocktails, and delicious Latin food. Makers & Finders is vibrant, upbeat, and feels like a morning bar more than a coffee shop. It is fun, colorful, and the coffee slaps. Oh, and when you finish soaking in the vibes you can walk around Downtown Summerlin and browse the shops.

#3: Mothership

The location of Mothership Coffee Roasters is sure to land on most visitors guides to visiting Las Vegas. Located inside the Downtown Container Park, this hipster coffee spot is fun and delightful. They may have a small menu, but the options are all great. Their pastries are made in house and they have a new form of cold brew made with hops that is so good. It is the perfect place to grab a coffee, sit outside and take in the art scene in Container Park.

#2: PublicUs

PublicUs could get away with just serving their great coffee, but they have a whole breakfast menu that’s worth staying for too. Surrounded by bars and old Vegas casinos, PublicUs is an oasis in the heart of the weirdest parts of downtown Las Vegas. Don’t let the unassuming location confuse you, the coffee is well-worth the trip. Every decision that goes into the food and drinks at PublicUs is meticulously thought out. From the organic ingredients, exclusively using one roaster, to the décor and staff selection – you are sure to get the perfect cuppa. This is a destination coffee shop that you won’t want to miss.

#1: Gabi Coffee & Bakery

This is a hidden gem even many locals haven’t discovered yet. I am breaking at least a dozen rules by sharing this spot with outsiders, but it is the absolute BEST place for coffee in Las Vegas. This spot is so secret it doesn’t even have a sign out front – just a giant wooden door with a red plaque that simply reads “OPEN”. Not only do they roast their own coffee in their indoor greenhouse, but they make the most beautiful desserts and meals you can imagine. The ambiance makes the Bellagio Gardens seem like it was decorated by a 3rd grade teacher by comparison. Bring your thirst, appetite, and camera for a memorable experience you will want to tell everyone about – but don’t. It’s a secret.
